Good afternoon,
My name is Vanessa and I am the Director of the Your Job Story program.

I am emailing you today in regards to our new program and wanted to share further details.
Our new program is titled Your Job Story, and it is a program targeted to support at risk youth ages 15-29.

Program eligibility:

  *   Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive)
  *   A Canadian citizen, permanent resident or a protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;
  *   Legally entitled to work in Canada
  *   Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
(Participants in receipt of EI are now eligible to participate in the Program however; they must first consult with their Service Canada Office before participating.)
Program details:

  *   Support with overcoming barriers to employment
  *   4 weeks of paid in class training at minimum wage, completing modules under the topics of  Life skills, Employment readiness and career exploration
  *   Job shopping opportunities prior to placement
  *   1:1 appointments with youth advisor
  *   6 weeks paid work placement
  *   Online training/learning for foreseeable future

We are looking to begin our first intake session in two weeks, on August 24th.  - Please share with your teams and network as you see fit.
