Le Indigenous Homelessness Circle

Le Indigenous Homelessness Circle est une ressource communautaire conçue pour les fournisseurs de service de lutte contre l’itinérance chez les Autochtones comme un moyen de rester connecté et de se tenir informé.

Le blogue est une plateforme pour les entités communautaires autochtones, les conseils consultatifs communautaires autochtones et les fournisseurs de service autochtones du secteur de lutte contre l’itinérance au Canada en vue de partager de l’information et de recevoir des nouvelles et des mises à jour. Il est mis à jour chaque semaine par le coordonnateur national de l’itinérance chez les Autochtones et centralise les mises à jour de Vers un chez-soi et les nouvelles sur l’itinérance chez les Autochtones au Canada.

Alliance canadienne pour mettre fin à l’itinérance – Mises à jour

Le 10 juillet 2020, l’Alliance canadienne pour mettre fin à l’itinérance (ACMFI) a mis à jour un document d’une page sur la prévention des expulsions pendant la COVID-19. Le Prevention Eviction One-Pager<http://cnh3.ca/wp-content/uploads/CAEH-COVID-19-Preventing-Eviction.pdf> fournit des conseils et des ressources pour prévenir les expulsions spécifiquement dans le contexte de la COVID-19, ainsi qu’un aperçu de l’aide au loyer et du support financier offerts au niveau fédéral et provincial.

Le 20 juillet 2020, le Network for the Health and Housing of People Experiencing Homelessness (CNH3) et l’ACMFI ont organisé un webinaire sur la prévention des expulsions en Ontario intitulé « Ce que vous devez savoir et prendre en considération » [what you need to know and consider] (en anglais seulement).

Pendant ce webinaire, Wally Czech, directeur de formation pour l’ACMFI a animé un groupe de discussion composé d’experts provinciaux et de spécialistes en la matière afin de discuter de la prévention des expulsions dans le cadre des travaux visant à fournir un logement durable aux plus vulnérables du Canada. Les défis de la prévention des expulsions qui ont été mis en évidence comprennent la gestion des changements continus dans les règlements de location et, plus récemment, l’adaptation aux circonstances liées à la pandémie ainsi que la fin des moratoires sur les expulsions.

Nouvelles possibilités de formation GRATUITE sur la Plateforme d’apprentissage sur l’itinérance!

Au cours de la dernière année, l’Observatoire canadien sur l’itinérance (OCI) a travaillé avec des universitaires et des praticiens renommés en vue de développer des formations et des ressources GRATUITES pour le secteur des services aux personnes en situation d’itinérance. Le 30 juillet 2020, la Plateforme d’apprentissage sur l’itinérance<https://www.plateformeapprentissageitinerance.ca/> ajoutera cinq nouvelles possibilités (en anglais seulement, versions françaises à venir) de formation à sa bibliothèque de plus de 300 ressources:

The Indigenous Homelessness Circle

The Indigenous Homelessness Circle is a community resource developed for Indigenous Homelessness Service Providers by Indigenous Homelessness Service Providers as a means to stay connected and informed.

The blog is a space for Indigenous Community Entities, Indigenous Community Advisory Boards and Indigenous Service Providers in the homelessness sector across Canada to share information and receive news and updates. It is updated weekly by the National Indigenous Homelessness Coordinator and centralizes Reaching Home updates and news pertaining to Indigenous Homelessness in Canada.

Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness – Updates

On July 10, 2020, the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness (CAEH) updated a One-Pager on Preventing Eviction during COVID-19. The Prevention Eviction One-Pager<http://cnh3.ca/wp-content/uploads/CAEH-COVID-19-Preventing-Eviction.pdf> provides tips and resources for preventing eviction specifically in the context of COVID-19, as well as an overview of federal and provincial rental and financial aid.
On July 20, 2020, the Network for the Health and Housing of People Experiencing Homelessness (CNH3) and CAEH hosted a webinar on Eviction Prevention in Ontario entitled: What you need to know and consider.

During the webinar, Wally Czech, Director of Training for CAEH facilitated a panel of provincial experts and subject matter experts to discuss eviction prevention as part of the work to provide sustainable housing for Canada’s most vulnerable. Eviction prevention challenges that were highlighted included managing ongoing shifts in tenancy regulations and, more recently, adapting to circumstances related to the pandemic as well as ending eviction moratoriums.

Over the past year, the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness (COH) has been working with leading academics and practitioners to develop FREE training and resources for the homeless-serving sector.
