Hi, everyone,
A donor has reached out to us offering a tall clock (photos attached),
which she describes as "which was typical in many homes in Normandy in the
19th and 20th century. Most disappeared with the advent of power. It is
special because the weights are made of carved stone." She says it was
purchased by her parents in Normandy in the early 1960s, moved to Canada in
the late 1970s.
It doesn't fit our collection, but the donor would like to offer it to
other museums. If you're interested, please let me know (
tammy at crestonmuseum.ca) and I will connect you!
Tammy
