BCMA/CCI: Detecting Pesticide Residues in Museum Collections, Training November 3rd
Join CCI and conservator Hope La Farge for a hands-on workshop using portable X-ray fluorescence (XRF) technology to identify hazardous pesticide residues in museum collections.
Participants will receive practical training and the opportunity to complete XRF operator certification, providing eligibility for CCI’s free XRF equipment loan program.
November 3, 2026,10 am -4 pm, Nanaimo, $125. Limited to 10 registrants. Mandatory virtual training for certification: October 29.
Participants are encouraged to bring one or two items for practice testing.
