[Sust-mar] Public Hike at Herring Cove Backlands this Sunday

The following hike is part of the Ecology Action Centre's 2005 'Public Walks on Public Lands'
series:

Sunday, September 25 at 10AM - Herring Cove Backlands. Guide: John Brazner

Meet: Herring Cove Lookoff Parking Area, 1.5 km  (towards Herring Cove from 
Halifax) south of the Naval Engineering School parking lot on the Purcell's 
Cove Road.

Duration: 3-4 hours Difficulty: Moderately difficult - Uneven terrain

Route: Lower part of the McIntosh Run watershed. Along ridges and banks 
overlooking several lakes, wetlands and the McIntosh Run.

Participants should be in reasonably good physical shape. Please bring 
appropriate clothing including good hiking shoes/boots, rain gear in case of 
inclement weather as well as drinking water and snack foods, binoculars and 
cameras.
