The independent documentary writers are producing some of the most
interesting and controversial work in Canada and seem to have a different
perspective on contract workers.

Why should independents who are producing new and innovative work not be
included more within CBC programming. Is it healthy for a public broadcaster
when independent, flexible and creative people who have not been groomed by
the organization, be prevented from contributing in a big way especially if
(as seems to be the case with some of Canada's big radio hosts), it is in
favour of people who are unimaginative, uninspired and waiting for
retirement.
