This is a bilingual position.

The Conservation Council of New Brunswick, one 
of Canada's oldest and most effective non-profit 
environmental organization, is hiring a Sustainable Energy 
Campaigner. This is a one year position with the potential 
to evolve into a permanent position. The annual salary is 
$26K.

Duties:

The Sustainable Energy Campaigner will implement a 
multi-faceted province-wide campaign to push the envelope 
on energy efficiency and accelerate the adoption of 
renewable green energy in ways which will enhance 
community economic development. We will be working 
with a broad spectrum of partners throughout the region to 
make Atlantic Canada a centre for sustainable energy 
development.

Duties will include public outreach, networking, the 
development of an online directory of home energy 
products, media relations, participating with other groups in 
joint activities, maintaining a website, researching and 
writing funding proposals and preparing reports to funders.

Skills:

Besides having a passion for protecting the environment 
and wanting to work in an environmental advocacy 
organization, the successful candidate will have excellent 
writing and speaking skills in English and French. They 
will be highly motivated and self-directed, comfortable 
working in an unstructured environment both 
independently and as part of a team, willing and able to 
assume a high level of responsibility for a project from start 
to finish, show initiative to seize and develop new 
opportunities. A post-secondary degree is required, along 
with a talent for grassroots networking and education. 
Demonstrated previous involvement in environmental 
issues (i.e. volunteer, summer jobs, student groups) is 
important as well.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be 30 years or younger, have a post-
secondary degree, be unemployed or under-employed. 
(e.g. working at a job not related to training), and be 
eligible towork in Canada. The position is supported by the 
federal Youth Career Focus program; candidates must not 
have been previously employed in a position funded by this 
program.

Le Conseil de conservation du NB, l'une des plus anciennes 
et plus efficaces organisations environnementales à but non 
lucratif du Canada, veut embaucher un/une 
Coordinateur/Coordinatrice pour notre Campagne Action 
Climat. Il s'agit d'un poste de stagiaire payé avec la 
possibilité de devenir un poste permanent au CCNB. 
Il s'agit d'un poste à temps plein (40hres/sem.) durant 
12 mois avec un salaire annuel de 25 000 $.

Tâches :

Le/la Coordinateur/Coordinatrice de la Campagne Action 
Climat va mettre en œuvre une campagne provinciale à 
volet multiples afin de faire avancer le dossier de 
l'efficacité énergétique et accélérer l'adoption de l'énergie 
verte renouvelable de manières qui vont améliorer le 
développement économique de la communauté. Nous 
allons travailler avec une grande variété de partenaires à 
travers la région pour le Canada Atlantique devienne un 
centre de développement de l'énergie durable.

Les tâches vont inclure le développement d'un répertoire 
en ligne de produits, de technologies et de services 
énergétiques ménagers ; la production de matériel 
pédagogique ; la diffusion et l'approche ; les relations avec 
les médias ; participer avec d'autres groupes dans des 
activités conjointes ; le maintien du site Web ; la recherche 
et la rédaction de demandes de fonds la préparation de 
rapports aux bailleurs de fonds.

Compétences :

En plus d'avoir une passion pour la protection de 
l'environnement et de vouloir travailler au sein d'une 
organisation de défense de l'environnement, le/la candidat.e 
choisi.e : aura d'excellentes aptitudes à écrire et à parler en 
anglais et en français ; être hautement motivé.e et autonome 
; se sentir confortable de travailler indépendamment et en 
équipe dans un milieu non structuré ; accepter et avoir la 
capacité d'assumer un haut niveau de responsabilité pour un 
projet du début à la fin ; devra faire preuve d'initiative pour 
saisir et développer de nouvelles opportunités. Un diplôme 
postsecondaire est nécessaire, ainsi qu'un talent pour 
éduquer et sensibiliser les gens de la base. Une implication 
antérieure dans les enjeux environnementaux (c-à-d., 
bénévolat, emplois d'été, organisations étudiantes) est 
également importante.

Les candidats doivent être âgés de 30 ans ou moins, 
posséder un diplôme postsecondaire, être sans emploi ou 
sous-employé (travailler à un emploi non relié à leur 
formation) et être éligible à travailler au Canada. Le poste 
est subventionné par le programme Objectif carrière 
jeunesse ; les candidats ne doivent pas avoir déjà été 
employé dans un poste financé par ce programme.
