Anyone interested in living roofs and strawbale/cob building is invited to a free workshop on Thursday, September 7th from 12 - 6pm at the Seymour Green Community Garden, in an effort to help put the finishing touches on the community's garden shed. The workshop will be lead by Kim Thompson, a fabulous natural builder and educator on green building design. Participants will have the chance to make strawbale and cob plasters from scratch and apply them to the garden shed using other decorative materials, to add shape and design. In addition, participants will also have the chance to help prepare and plant the shed's living roof and garden beds. Workshop is limited to 20 participants, so please call early to confirm a spot. To register, call the Nova Scotia Public Interest Research Group @ 494 -6662 or email garden at nspirg.org. Garden is located behind 1443 Seymour St.
