Dear green drinkers and friends,
For the month of January, Green Drinks is pleased to bring you a special
event. On the night of Monday, Jan 23rd, please join us as we watch the
results of the Federal Election unravel province by province across the
country. Whether the election results are good news or bad news for you, you
will be guaranteed to be surrounded by a group of environmentally minded
folks and amateur crisis intervention support. Supporters of all political
parties are welcome. Expect some friendly debate!
Place: Nail and Kneecap, 6194 Quinpool
Time: 8:00-11:00pm
Green Drinks would like to encourage you to go out and vote in the
elections- even if you don't think it really matters, even if it is just for
the sake of making discussions more interesting! For those of you who are
away from your home electoral district (e.g. out of province students) you
can vote for your home candidates at a Halifax location if you take action
before Jan 17th.
Call 1-866-202-6646 to find out where to vote.
Green Drinks Halifax has been meeting as a dynamic informal networking group
on the last Wednesday of every month since last summer. Invitation is open
to anyone interested in environmental/sustainability issues who's keen to
chat with other like minded folks. We look forward to meeting you or
welcoming you back. As always, RSVPs are appreciated but not required.
Please send RSVPs and comments to greendrinks_halifax[at]yahoo[dot]ca
