Earth ovens are beautiful, functional art pieces that are able to  
produce fantastic food. They can take on simple elegant forms, or  
morph into dragons, turtles or fish.

This one day, hands on workshop will explore the use of natural  
materials to construct a mobile earth oven using a traditional sand  
form and cob* method.
A tour of our straw bale home and other natural building projects in  
Ship Harbour will be part of the day as well.

Cost: $50. Family rate and sliding scale available.
Pizza lunch, baked in a bread oven included.

*Cob: a traditional earth construction material made of local clay  
soil, sand and fibre.
