Please put this on your calendars for August:
"Plant Medicine - Herbal Allies for Health and Healing" is being offered at Tatamagouche Centre (Nova Scotia) August 11-13. At this experiential workshop, get to know many local wild and cultivated medicinal plants and learn about their healing gifts. Spend time outside, identifying and learning to gather plants respectfully. We will make and discuss a wide range of herbal medicines including herbal tinctures, infused oils, ointments, vinegars and flower essences. This workshop is for those beginning to explore herbs for healing, as well for those with experience wanting more plant wisdom and hands-on experience in a circle of plants and people.
Resource People: Danette Steele, is a seeker, educator and practitioner and registered Clinical Herbalist. She teaches herbal medicine classes, leads plant medicine walks, and sees clients in her clinical practice in both Halifax and Toronto. She is a faculty member with the International School of Herbal Medicine. Danette integrates traditional wise woman teachings with scientific knowledge in all her herbal work and play. Trudy Watts, is an educator, gardener and herbalist, who works in health promotion and community development.
