The Atlantic Council for International Cooperation (ACIC) is hosting an
exciting professional development workshop on Evaluation Techniques to be
held in Saint John, NB, April 12-13. The deadline for registration is

Workshop Summary:
This interactive and highly practical session will enable participants to
improve and build upon their ability to properly evaluate both local and
international projects and programmes.
Through various discussions, activities, training and feedback, this
workshop will focus on:
1) Successful Evaluation by examining
- What makes a successful evaluation
- Evaluations evolving role
- Different forms of evaluation
- Data collection and analysis
- Sharing results and experiences
- Best practices
- Tools and organizations which can help you in the future
2) International Project/Program Evaluations
- Are evaluations in an international environment different?
- Evaluation guides from CIDA, IRDC, and others
- What bodies of evaluations exist that can be examined and used?
Facilitator:
Susan Hollett is the President of Hollett & Sons, a Telematics based
consultancy company. She is an experienced and knowledgeable facilitator who
has worked with various organizations for 20 years and acted as a consultant
for over 10 of those years.
Susan is a seasoned facilitator. She has worked with groups and
organizations from a variety of sectors ranging in size from 3-60. At times
her facilitation services are part of a larger project (Strategic Planning,
for example) and at other times they are the primary services. Susan has
worked extensively on Evaluation workshops and seminars, including with some
members of ACIC.
Susan was one of the first recipients of the Newfoundland and Labrador
Organization for Women Entrepreneurs (NLOWE) Recognition Awards for
Outstanding Contribution to Womens Advancement in Business and Community
Economic Development and continues to be an active member of her community.
