SEEKING CANDIDATES
FOR PESTICIDE BYLAW PROGRAMS

Immediate Responses Required – No Formal Applications
Needed

Please note that this is not a job competition. We are currently seeking interest from
potential team members for the pesticide bylaw project at the proposal stage
for 2007. The project runs from April to September.

The Ecology Action Centre
(EAC), established in 1971, is Nova Scotia's largest and most active environmental organization.

The Pesticide By-Law
Inspection and Education Program is a project of the Ecology Action Centre’s Built
Environment Committee and aims to reduce residential pesticide use in the HRM
and further the objectives of the bylaw to promote human health and
environmental protection. This is done through both educational and inspection
programs, and working with residents, retailers, and the landscaping industry.

Our Pesticide By-Law
Inspection and Education Program is seeking expressions of interest from
candidates with excellent organization, planning, and communication skills. The
ideal candidate will have a talent for coordinating multiple projects and
priorities. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in natural
sciences, environmental studies, horticulture, landscaping, or equivalent.

Please send an expression of
interest – including a letter and/or resume – to Mark Beasy at pestbylaw at ecologyaction.ca by 12 noon Friday Feb 16th.

For further information Mark
can be reached at (902) 830-1933.
