Join the Nova Scotia Nature Trust and the Town of Wolfville to explore the
many natural gems of the Wolfville Watershed Nature Preserve. The Nature
Trust is working with the Town of Wolfville to protect this special
property. The preserve is home to many exceptional features, including rare
old-growth hemlock forest, wetlands and brooks, and a diversity of
interesting plant life.

On Saturday, July 21st from 9 - 11am, the Nature Trust will host a guided
nature walk led by Bernard Forsythe. This free event will be a wonderful
opportunity to explore the area and learn more about its many natural
features. Please meet at the end of Forest Hills Road at 9am.

Please contact Jennifer Morse at the Nature Trust at (902) 406-3320 or
1-877-434-5263 (toll-free) or by email at jennifer at nsnt.ca for more
information or to register for the walk.

The Nature Trust is looking for volunteer Property Guardians to monitor the
Wolfville Watershed Nature Preserve. Property Guardians help ensure the
long-term stewardship of Nature Trust conservation lands, by conducting
monitoring visits. These volunteer positions are a great way of spending
time outdoors while helping to keep this protected area unspoiled and safe
for everyone. If you love the outdoors and care about protecting Nova
Scotia's wild places, this is a great opportunity for you.

No scientific background is required, and training is provided. There will
be an on-site orientation session following the guided walk on Saturday,
July 21st at 11am. If you would like more information or are interested in
becoming a Property Guardian, please contact Jennifer Morse at the Nature
Trust at (902) 406-3320 or 1-877-434-5263 (toll-free) or by email at
jennifer at nsnt.ca.

Thanks,
