  / 3 / Building Green Conference Friday May 16th
----------------------------------------------------------------------
FROM: Boardmember Aaron Smith

I received information on an upcoming conference today, Building
Green. It is from the Atlantic Chapter of the Canada Green Building
Council (AC-CaGBC) so the conference may deal with the greening of
Commercial buildings but anyone interested in green building would
probably enjoy the conference. All the information I know is
included below, I could send you more when I receive it.

Building Green: inspiration and innovation, Friday May 16th, 8:30 am
to 5:00 pm at the Nova Scotia Community College, Waterfront Campus,
Dartmouth NS

Conference organizers are looking for green building presentations to
include in the conference program. Any chapter members who wish to
submit a potential presentation please prepare a brief overview of
the topic, the length of time required and any applicable fees or
costs. (The facility will provide all technical support.)

Priority consideration will be given to AC-CaGBC chapter members and
to presentations that support the theme of the conference and the
LEED rating system categories.

Please send submissions by Mon March 10th to: Jennifer MacNeill
Chair, Events Committee, AC-CaGBC,
mailto:jennifer.macneill at interfaceflor.ca
phone 902 456-4350

Perennial Maxwell's Plum Solar and Renewable Discussion Time

Friday night at Maxwell's Plum isn't just about boozing it up! The
get-together lets us do a little society business and a lot of
discussion of renewable energy issues. So if you want to exchange
ideas, get some ideas, bounce ideas off, some Solar experts and
enthusiasts, Maxwell's Plum on a Friday evening -- about 5:30pm to
about 7:00 -- is the place to be! Find us at some grouped tables near
the windows.

The Solar Nova Scotia has as close as it comes, to a complete
directory of renewable energy suppliers as you'll find in Atlantic
Canada. Check out the list of corporate members here:
