Guided Trips to Sambro Island
Sambro Lighthouse is 250 years old this year. Nova Scotia Lighthouse
Preservation Society (NSLPS) and the Mainland South Heritage Society
are offering visits to the Island guided by NSLPS members on Saturday
August 16.
**Note: Sambro Lighthouse will not be open to the public.)
Boats will depart on the hour and half-hour from the Government Wharf
at Sambro Village from 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
Space on the boats is limited and is available on a first come, first
served basis
Cost is $10. Buy tickets on the wharf. Children must be 8 years or
over, accompanied by an adult, and wear a life jacket.
Bring plenty of drinking water, a jacket, and wear sturdy
footwear. Be prepared to climb up rocks and walk on rough paths.
***Note: there are no facilities on the island.
