EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: ATLANTIC CANADA ORGANIZER

The Green Party of Canada is seeking an Atlantic Canada Organizer. 
This is a full-time contract position to begin as soon as possible.

Remuneration is dependent on experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Atlantic Canada Organizer is a member of a national organizing 
team working at the grassroots level to ensure Electoral District 
Associations in the region are founded and receive ongoing support, 
with a strong focus on membership and capacity building. Organizers 
help to identify quality candidates and provide training and support 
so that campaigns are run as effectively as possible. Some travel 
within the region is necessary. Hours of work vary but often include 
weekends and evenings. During an election, organizers are required to 
work long hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous political organizing experience, or experience as a 
candidate, campaign manager, or campaign worker is strongly 
recommended. Organizing experience with NGOs is also acceptable. 
Applicants will be resourceful, capable of working without close 
supervision, and have good networking skills and connections within 
the region. Organizers must like working with people and be able to 
maintain friendly and co-operative relationships with party members 
and the public. The ability to work well under pressure and to 
multi-task is essential.  Familiarity with Elections Canada 
regulations is an asset.  French language capacity would be helpful.
