URANIUM MINING IN N.B.?
There will be a public information session on uranium mining in New
Brunswick at the McCain Auditorium (Margaret Norrie McCain Hall) at St.
Thomas University at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, May 14.
Did you that know thousands of uranium claims have been staked? - many in
areas surrounding Fredericton.
The public information session will feature speakers on landowner rights
and the N.B. Mining Act, the hazards of uranium mining to the environment
and human health, and
community opposition to uranium exploration and mining.
The event is organized by the Fredericton Chapter of the Conservation
Council of New Brunswick.
