    								 Dear friends,

With just 4 days left until the election on Tuesday, Harper is dropping in the polls, and those who oppose him are uniting across party lines like never before. Our campaign calling for unity across party lines to vote strategically and stop a Harper majority is running full-page ads in 9 newspapers across the country. And our song and pledge campaign has been covered in major media across Canada.

In the final days, we're shifting our ad campaign to radio, by far the most targeted and cost-effective way to reach people in the ridings where the races are closest. A 30 second local radio ad costs just $50. If we could raise $25,000 in the next 12 hours we can effectively bring our call to conscience on climate change, unity among the opposition, and strategic voting to defeat Harper to the places that need to hear it most. Our newspaper ads are currently running in the Chronicle Herald (NS), Casket (NS), Guysborough Journal (NS), Le Progres Dimanche (QC), Ottawa Citizen (ON), Ottawa XPress (ON), Victoria Times Colonist (BC), The Province (BC), and the North Island Courier (BC). They're generating loads of local buzz and media, as well as several national media stories in the Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, Radio Canada, the CBC, the Ottawa Citizen, and many other outlets.

So far, Avaaz has raised almost $110,000 from Canadians across the country to fund this campaign. Elections Canada allows us to spend up to $183,000 in this election. If we raised $70,000 more, we could expand our radio campaign to even more ridings, but the ad buys need to be placed today and tomorrow, so there's no time to waste.

Something very exciting is happening in Canada right now, a massive surge of activity to get the Canada we love back. There's only 4 days left, let's make Tuesday a day to celebrate!

With hope,

Ricken, Laryn, Jen, Kristen, Lisa-Marie and the Avaaz team
