EOS Eco-Energy Inc.:
100 MILE BANQUET AND ANNUAL GENERAL GATHERING
EOS Eco-Energy Inc., in partnership with the Sackville CSA, are hosting a
"100 Mile Banquet" on April 25th at the Sackville United Church. The guest
speaker will be Bob Osborne of Cornhill Nursery, who will discuss how
sustainable agriculture and energy issues are linked.
Are you wondering how it is possible to have a delicious dinner with
sustainably grown local food at the end of April, when the growing season
has yet to begin and winter reserves are depleted? The menu will include
food found within 100 Miles of Sackville, NB. - chicken bisque, roasted
squash and garlic soup with spelt baguette, apple roasted pork with
blueberry wine reduction, cider baked beans, mashed potatoes with herb
butter, steamed parsnips and carrots with maple. And if that is not enough,
a baked custard with fruit sauce will be served for dessert.
The evening begins at 5pm with a chance to mingle with local producers.
Dinner is at 6pm. Bob Osborne will speak during dessert, followed by EOS
Eco-Energy's Annual General Meeting, when diners will hear a brief report
highlighting some of EOS' many activities over the past year. This is a
great opportunity to enjoy fine dining, learn about local food producers,
and be inspired about the community¹s green future.
A contribution of $25 is requested for this event. Tickets can be obtained
at The Cackling Goose or at the door. If you would like more information
