****************************************************************************************
Bob Bancroft is a wildlife, fisheries and forestry consultuant and Smartwood assessor. He is past chair of the Nova Forest Alliance and can be heard as a regular guest on CBC radios Maritime Noon on conservation and wildlife issues. He lives in Pomquet NS, with his wife and artist, Alice Reed on 55 acres where they are restoring the Acadian forest and aquatic habitats.
Dr. Dave Lieske teaches in the Geography and Environment Dept at Mt. Allison University. He uses (GIS) and 3D visualization to give us a "bird's eye" view of species conservation. His work explores the way these tools can be used to identify key habitats for bird species in Atlantic Canada, identify the risks facing these species, and assist in conservation planning.
Jamie Simpson coordinates the forestry program at the Ecology Action Centre. He's a forester with a background in forest ecology and woodlot management, and is the author of "Restoring the Acadian Forest: A Guide to forest stewardship for woodlot owners in the Maritimes."
Marc Spence is a retired biologist and Michael Spence is a farrier and horse logger. They are both woodlot owners who have been practicing restoration forestry on their family woodlot in Baie Verte.
