Seed Saving Workshop: August 29, 10:00am - 3:00pm
Pollination Project and Watershed Farm
BAKER SETTLEMENT, NOVA SCOTIA

On August 28, we invite you to attend a very special series of musical
performances in the most idyllic setting you're likely to encounter.
Set on the stunning site of Pollination Project and Watershed Farm, a
working organic farm that hosts workshops and events on Arts, Ecology,
Health and Society, this festival will be an unforgettable day of music,
workshops, food and fun for all ages.
This musical event will be closely tied with a very special weekend-long
workshop about seed-saving, biodiversity, and health.
Throughout the day there will be workshops that will teach us how to save
seed, grow food, and simply live more lightly and joyfully on the planet.
Expect to eat well, listen and dance to vibrant music performances, learn
new skills, meet new friends and enjoy a day-long extravaganza in the
prettiest setting imaginable.
For those interested in staying for the Seed Saving Workshops the following
day, accommodation can be arranged from elegant suites, airy dorms to simple
camping arrangements. Email us for more details on the workshops.
There will be giant puppets for the kids, local craftspeople and artisans,
local food and walking tours of the farm. This is an event not be missed
and a day never to be forgotten. We want you here with us!!

10:00 to 3:00 at Watershed Farm (768 Allen Frausel Road, Baker Settlement),
August 29th. Cost: $55
Part of a very special weekend at Watershed Farm, the workshop is closely
tied with the first annual Watershed Music Festival on the 28th (1:00 to
dark). On the 28th we'll have lots of music and different workshops
throughout the day, and on the 29th we'll have a slightly more advanced (and
much quieter!) seed workshop. We'll go into great depth for this one
covering each crop individually as well as covering broader topics like
threshing and storage. Also exciting will be a lesson on hand pollination of
squash from local squash guru Chris Sanford! Included is a delicious organic
lunch along with snacks, you'll get to head home with seeds of both mine and
Dan's as well as seed garlic from Watershed Farm. You can register online at
www.pollinationproject.org. Spots are filling up fast!
