Description: The Community Energy Cooperative of New
Brunswick Limited (CEC) is seeking a highly motivated
business developer / entrepreneur interested building our
cooperative into a leader in small to medium scale renewable
energy services in New Brunswick.
We are a registered limited cooperative business dedicated
to see investment and participation in renewable energy and
energy efficiency projects in New Brunswick.
The ideal candidate has:
* Proven leadership experience and personal motivation
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience in market research and development of new lines
of business
* An interest in training in renewable energy technology and
installations
* An interest in community-based initiatives and able to
work with a variety of groups and government agencies.
* A desire to work with volunteers who are sincere and
hard-working but are not able to devote full-time to this
initiative
Assets:
* Practical experience in the field of renewable energy and
energy efficiency
* Interest in participating in training in renewable energy
installer workshops
* Experience or interest in working with cooperatives
Job Description
The coordinator position is an opportunity for the right
person to build a renewable energy co-op business starting
from 5 years of research and development by CEC members.
Duties:
* Work with consultants and contractors to expand our lines
of business and shift from grant funding to revenue streams
* Assist with coordination of renewable energy installer workshops
* Secure clients for renewable energy installations
* Hold quarterly meetings with CEC staff and board and
annual meetings with general membership
* Submit grants to funding agencies
* Increase membership of the CEC
* Promote renewable energy and energy efficiency through
collaborations with Falls Brook Centre
* Build revenue streams for the CEC
Remuneration
Initial remuneration will be secured for 6 months to
kick-start the business, leading to long-term employment
based on successful performance. Starting salary based on
experience will be $30,000 to $35,000 per annum, pro-rated.
Starting date March 1st, 2010. Applications will be accepted
