Greetings,
If you are dealing with conflict, in your workplace, your home, or in your
community, this is a program that will provide you with the skills and tools
to understand and analyze conflicts, as well as give you practical
experience in mediating conflicts and disputes. If you are finding that
conflicts are continuing to resurface, this program will support you to
understand and analyze the conflict and figure out what is driving and
cycling the conflict through your community, organization, or amongst
individuals or families. You will practice your skills with colleagues and
get peer and professional support to become better at mediating disputes and
conflicts as they surface to bring about sustainable solutions and
resolutions. The Tatamagouche Centre is the North American training hub for
this internationally accredited program.
If you want any more details about the program, feel free to contact me or
register at the Centre 1-800-218-2220
Cheers,

at the perfect pace; it is one of the most interactive and engaging programs
I have taken
." 2009 DPC Participant
"I think this program is more than a program about mediation; it challenges
a person to look inside themselves, it develops skills possibly that had
become "lax" and it helps you deeply look at your personal value system"2009

Dialogue for Peaceful Change (DPC) is a methodology used in community based
conflict mediation, and provides effective and useful tools and strategies
for analyzing and addressing conflicts. Based on work in Northern Ireland,
DPC is applicable to conflicts and disputes in communities, families and
organizations. It has been implemented in global conflicts in Palestine,
Uganda and the Philippines and amongst police and community groups in
California. In the Maritimes, DPC Facilitators have been using these skills
to address disputes between fisherfolk and government officials, sorting
through tensions within First Nations communities, and promoting greater
cooperation between community and Social Service agencies. DPC moves beyond
traditional mediative methods, focusing on conflict content, culture and
spirituality. The experiential nature of the program allows you to practice
the stages of conflict mediation and apply the tools in a realistic context.
