Dear Sust-Mar subscribers,

Please be our guest at Windhorse Farm on Friday, September 24th at 1pm. We are inviting you to join us for an afternoon of tours and refreshments because we believe you’ll be surprised and excited by thevariety of facilities and services we offer for meetings, workshops, retreats and conferences. There is no better place to hold conversations that matter.

The facilities tour will begin at 1pm and conclude with refreshments around 3pm. We then invite you to linger in the gardens, take a stroll through the forest, or continue to visit with us about our hosting practices, amenities and other services.
Did you know that Windhorse Farm, an easy one-hour drive from Halifax, is home of Juniper Lodge—a ‘green’ building with meeting space for up to 40 people and overnight accommodations for 22?
A short walk through the woods brings you to Windhorse Farm’s Sunshine House, a 150 year-old farmhouse restored to its original character. This venue offers a variety of meeting spaces along with two kitchens and overnight accommodations for 17 guests.
Down the lane you’ll find the PowerHouse on Wentzell Lake. The living room, kitchen, or deck, are all great spots for conversations or reflection. The PowerHouse can sleep up to eight people.
And then there are the cabins; tucked in the garden, in the forest, right on the brook, or where Wentzell Lake meets the LaHave River.
Come and see for yourself! We will show you Juniper Lodge, the homes and example cabins (Tamarack and Blue Dragon). You’ll also have a chance to experience the extensive organic perennial and food gardens, fire rings, and the freshness that comes from being lakeside while surrounded by over 200 acres of mature, sustainably managed forest offering 20 km of beautiful trails.

As our tour guest, we also invite you, your colleagues or your family to stay the night at a discounted rate of 30% off standard rental fees. Space is limited, so we encourage you to make arrangements with Steve Murray, Windhorse Farm’s Program and Guest Coordinator: (902) 543-6955 orsteve at windhorsefarm.org.

If you are able to join us, please RSVP by emailing info at windhorsefarm.org. If there are others who you believe would be interested in seeing Windhorse Farm’s rental facilities, pass this invite along. We will confirm all participation and provide directions to the Farm by email. Call if you have any questions (902) 543-6955.

We hope you can join us,

Jim and Margaret Drescher
& Windhorse Farm Staff
