In response to the wildlife hysteria in Nova Scotia
directed against coyotes, an educational workshop on coyotes with a tracking
excursion is being offered.
Through discussions, workshop participants will be better
able to appreciate the important role of coyotes in ecosystems. This workshop
will also teach participants to read tracks and signs, who will thus better
understand the behaviour of coyotes and other wildlife and how to relate to
them.
The coyote is the great survivor. Amazingly, despite ever increasing human
populations, the coyote continues to thrive, through its adaptability, and is
seemingly indifferent to human attempts to eradicate this species. This animal
has much to teach us, if we are willing to open our hearts and minds. This
workshop is for those who are prepared to take this journey.
