Dear Solar Nova Scotia Members & Friends:

The time has come for the 2011 Annual General Meeting.

Location: Veith House, Halifax (3115 Veith Street for you GPS'ers, at Devonshire and Young for the rest.)

Time: Wednesday, March 2, 7:00 -- 10:00PM

Guest Speaker: Peter Kinley of Lunenburg Foundry & Engineering, will present their new, LIFE-Prometheus solar concentration system which provides a high energy output with a small footprint. Peter's company is actively looking at the many applications for this exciting new product, including heating domestic hot water.

Established in 1891, Lunenburg Industrial Foundry & Engineering continues as a model of sustainable development. At its location in Lunenburg, it is the first foundry in North America to have produced molten metal castings using only the heat from the sun. This cost effective method is a breakthrough that empowers the economic application of concentrated solar for year-round clean and renewable energy generation.

RSVP: The public, and new members, are welcome to this event.

As well, we'll have our book The Canadian Solar Home Design Manual on sale for $35.00, and you can renew your Solar NS Membership.

There will also be a short AGM with the election of officers. Light refreshments will be available.

If you're a Facebooker, you can RSVP via this Facebook link.

Otherwise, RSVP by email - or just show up!

See you at the AGM!

Cheers, Richard Vinson Acting Chair, Solar Nova Scotia
