*Tatamagouche Centre* is one of four non-profit residential adult education
and retreat Centres of the United Church of Canada, established in 1955. The
Centre offers a range of leading-edge programs, hospitality and services to
both church and community in support of its commitment to transformation,
inclusiveness, social justice, spiritual formation and participatory
community development.


Tatamagouche Centre seeks to model the values it espouses. We are inviting
applications for the position of Organizational Director to provide
inspiring, value-based leadership. The successful candidate will be a member
of the Staff Leadership Team, sharing overall responsibility for all aspects
of Tatamagouche Centre life with team colleagues, the Program Director and
Finance Director.


*Organizational Director*

As Organizational Director, you are a strong team-member offering visionary
leadership and effective participatory management skills to the Centre.  You
are responsible for staff personnel functions, fund development, food
services, property and facilities management as well as coordination and
management of relations with key partner organizations. You coordinate and
ensure good communications with all staff, the Board, all levels of the
United Church of Canada, key partner organizations and a wide variety of
individuals. You have a minimum of five years experience of successful
management of a community-based non-profit and/or faith-based organization,
plus related post-secondary education or training.  You have excellent
interpersonal, communication and team-development skills, are an innovative
self-starter, comfortable working in the context of an evolving
organization.


*Conditions of Employment*

This is a two-year contract 80% position with negotiable hours.  The
contract may be extended into a permanent position pending the
organizational and visioning process being undertaken by the Centre.  The
successful candidate will be instrumental in working with the Centre through
this process.  Salary is commensurate with similar positions in this sector
in the Maritimes. The Organizational Director must be in essential agreement
with the mission, values, theological and educational approach of the
Centre.

a suitable candidate is found. Employment will commence on a mutually
