(Bring a lunch, rain gear, bug repellent, gloves, and plenty of water. )

The trail building workshop led by Garnet McLaughlin and his trail
team will be held Saturday September 17, 2011. Come to the parking lot
(2890 St. Margaret's Bay Road) at 9 am on Saturday September 17, 2011.
The team will leave for the trail at 9:30 AM but allow yourself time
to find a place to park and introduce yourself to Garnet.

This event is all day. We supply the tools necessary. You will learn
from the leading trail builder in the province how volunteers without
machines can create durable, environmentally friendly, low cost stone
tread in areas that are being damaged by high use. Garnet will have
expert trail instructors with him. About a dozen places have been
identified on the first loop that need treatment. Bring a lunch, rain
gear, bug repellent, gloves, and plenty of water. Volunteers are
urgently needed. The first workshop on May 28, 2011 was a great
success.

If you want more information about the workshop, contact Garnet
McLaughlin at mclaughlins at vrodinternet@com or902-647-2271 <tel:902-647-2271>

Volunteers will receive WRWEO hat and T-shirt (quantities limited,
first come first serve).

Pre-registration is advised but not required, we can accommodate a
maximum of 20 volunteers; to pre-register contact Richmond Campbell at
richmond.campbell at dal.ca <mailto:richmond.campbell at dal.ca>

There is no charge for the workshop; detailed trail maps are available
for $5 charge to help cover trail maintenance costs.
