Peaceful Schools International: Fundraising Luncheon with John de Chastelain
Funds raised go to support PSI scholarships for Saint Mary’s students who demonstrate excellence in peace education.

John de Chastelain joined the Canadian Army Militia as a Private in the infantry. He attended the Royal Military College of Canada and served for 35 years in the Regular Army, ending with the rank of General and Chief of the Defence Staff. He was appointed Canada’s Ambassador to the USA in 1993 and was subsequently involved for sixteen years in the Northern Ireland peace process. De Chastelain is an Officer of the Order of Canada, has honorary doctorates from eight Canadian Universities, including Saint Mary’s, and is an honorary Fellow of Lady Margaret Hall College, Oxford University.
