McNabs Island Beach Cleanup

   Sunday, June 3, 2012 - (rain date June 10)
   10:00 am – 5:00 pm

   Halifax ferry:
   Maximum capacity - 190 people
   Murphy’s Cable Wharf
   1751 Lower Water Street

   Eastern Passage ferry:
   Maximum capacity - 29 people
   A & M Sea Charters
   87 Government Wharf
   Fisherman's Cove

   Pre-registration required for groups:

   May 22, 2012 - Kick off Environment Week by helping the Friends of
   McNabs Island Society cleanup McNabs and Lawlor Islands Provincial
   Park! Since 1991, volunteers have collected over 10,000 bags of garbage
   and recyclables from the beaches of this provincial park.

   Wear comfortable sneakers; bring work gloves, drinking water, a lunch
   and ENTHUSIASM. We will supply the garbage bags and FREE transportation
   from Halifax and Eastern Passage for volunteers willing to clean up the
   beaches.
