Youth Active Transportation Coordinator (Cape Breton-Eastern NS)
Full-Time Contract (maternity leave) Posting
Ecology Action Centre
Part of the Ecology Action Centre's sustainable transportation work involves encouraging active forms of transportation (AT), such as walking and cycling, among children and youth. The Youth AT Coordinator will coordinate two programs in Cape Breton and Eastern Nova Scotia: School Travel Planning and Making Tracks. School Travel Planning involves working with stakeholders to recruit and support schools in developing and implementing active transportation plans. Making Tracks offers safety skills training across the province in the areas of walking, cycling, in-line skating and skateboarding. This is a full-time maternity leave position based out of the Cape Breton area for about five months.
