Sustainability and Environmental Research Symposium 2013

WHAT?

The 9th Annual Sustainability and Environmental Research Symposium is an
exciting and unique event that brings together students and faculty from
Nova Scotia universities and colleges to showcase their research
accomplishments and celebrate the depth and breadth of research on
sustainability and the environment. The Symposium also provides an
opportunity for other organizations, institutions and members of the public
to learn more about academic research on sustainability and environmental
issues and to showcase their own work.

Friday, March 15, 2013 from 11AM TO 4PM

 

WHERE?

Great Hall, University Faculty Club, Dalhousie University

6259 Alumni Crescent (located just off South Street)

 

SCHEDULE:

11:00AM:    POSTER SESSION

12:30PM:    KEYNOTE: DR. Catherine O'Brien uses the concept of sustainable
happiness to engage diverse audiences in considering how our wellbeing is
interconnected with the wellbeing of others and with the natural
environment.

2:30PM:     POSTER AWARDS     

3:00PM:     RECEPTION

 

CALL FOR POSTER ABSTRACTS:

Interested undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and members from
non-academic organizations are invited to share their research or program
interests on the topics of environment and sustainability using an academic
poster format. Student participants who present their research posters are
eligible to receive a number of awards. All are welcome to join us for a
networking reception at 3 pm. 

 

Please submit author name(s), poster title and an abstract of 200 words or
less via email to emaychair at dal.ca. Abstract submissions are due March 8,
2013.
