Talking Forests with David Boyle


Friends of Redtail Society will be hosting the third in its Talking Forests
speaker series on Sunday, June 16 at 1:00pm. In this workshop we will be
cultivating mushrooms with David Boyle,

mycologist and mushroom enthusiast. Participants will learn about the
essential roles fungi play in nature by recycling nutrients, promoting
healthy plant growth, controlling pests, degrading pollutants, etc.

They will also learn methods for growing a variety of mushrooms species.
They will inoculate and take home a log that with proper care will produce
delicious shiitake. 400 MacBeth Road, Redtail Nature
