Job Description
The ACORN Office Manager will support all ACORN staff, principally the Executive Director, in a range of office-related activities. There will be core administrative responsibilities (as outlined below), but also a variety of project-related support that will change from day to day. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to an efficient, productive, and friendly work environment at ACORN.

Specific tasks will include:
• Administrative support -- answering telephones, responding to general and membership inquiries, financial activities/administration
• Event registration coordination -- Managing pre-registration for ACORN events, including the Annual Conference in November
• Web updating and database management -- Maintaining a current website and membership database

Qualifications
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to organic agriculture, farmer training, food systems and/or the environment
• Effective team player who also works well independently
• Highly organized with an eye for detail
• Experience with Macintosh computers and programs considered an asset
• Bilingualism considered an asset

Job details
Approximately 20 hours/week with more leading up to the November conference. $15-$18/hour depending on experience for a 9-month contract, with possibility of extension. Start date May 1st or as soon as possible. The successful candidate will work from ACORN's office in Sackville, NB.
