Keynote Joanna Kerr of Greenpeace Canada to open
Atlantic Council for International Cooperation Annual Symposium

WHAT: ACIC’s Annual General Meeting and Symposium 2014 titled “Making Connections: Cooperating for a Sustainable Future” will kick off on Thursday evening with keynote speaker Joanna Kerr, Executive Director of Greenpeace Canada, with her talk “How to be courageous in a planet in crisis”, followed by a networking event.
                The Friday program will open with a panel discussion, “How do we communicate and organize towards taking action locally to contribute to global concerns?”, featuring Wendy Muche mass communicator from Zambia, Dr. Adam Fenech Director of the University of Prince Edward Island’s Climate Research and Dr. Jennifer Taylor, professor in the Department of Applied Human Sciences at the University of Prince Edward Island. The symposium will continue on with concurrent workshops and culminate in a gala evening event. The symposium wraps up on Saturday morning with more workshops and a closing plenary.
