There has been a lot of interest in the fracking review process lately.

The Ecology Action Centre will be hosting an information session WEDNESDAY, June 11, 1-3 pm, to describe the process and the timeline, and opportunities for public engagement.

The provincial fracking review panel has started to release draft papers which contain recommendations that could impact all of our environmental stewardship activities. The Ecology Action Centre has been participating in the review process, and encourages other groups to participate as well.

The Ecology Action Centre invites you to participate in this information session. We will provide information about the review process, and a summary of the papers released thus far (primer, resource potential, economics, water resources and well-bore integrity).

The goal of this session will be to (i) explain the steps and the timeline of the review process, and (ii) highlight ways that environmental and community groups can participate in this review. To learn more about the review panel and the papers which have been released, please visit the review website and bring your questions to this information session.

This session will take place as a telephone conference call, on Wednesday June 11th from 1-3pm.
Please RSVP to groundwater at ecologyaction.ca to participate in the call, and to receive call in phone numbers.

Sincerely,
Jennifer J. West, M.Sc., P.Geo.
