The second edition of my award-winning 1998 book on coastlines, The Living Beach (http://thegreeninterview.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=7f5e4d89ff3d230f03b36fdb7&id=1184c93fc6&e=ddcaef3914) , is now in the stores and on Amazon and Chapters Indigo.  To celebrate its publication, we're staging The Peripatetic Pan-Canadian Rum, Reels 'n' Readings Beach Party in Halifax in July, and in Toronto and Vancouver in August.

The Halifax party will be at Boondocks Restaurant and Lounge (http://thegreeninterview.us7.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=7f5e4d89ff3d230f03b36fdb7&id=aa55ef9349&e=ddcaef3914) right on the beach at Eastern Passage, NS, at the mouth of Halifax Harbour, starting at 5:30 on July 10. We'll have music by Scott Macmillan and other friends, and readings by Marjorie Simmins (Coastal Lives), Harry Thurston (The Atlantic Coast: A Natural History) – and me, and possibly others. We'll be selling books and CDs, and we'll be holding a draw for an $80 bottle of 10-year-old Glen Breton single-malt whisky.
