The Second Annual Water Week Photo Exhibit opens March 15th at the Peer Gallery and Ellis Gallery, 25 Cornwallis Street, Lunenburg. The theme of the exhibit is “Our Water, Our Life" and is organized as a community event to raise awareness and generate conversation through the celebration of Canada Water Week and World Water Day. Photographs will cover a broad range of aesthetic, environmental, and social themes, exploring the complexity of our dependence on water. These themes will be revealed not only through the photographers’ creative and artistic inclinations but also through “story cards” that accompany each image.

The event is organized by the South Shore Chapter of the Council of Canadians in partnership with the Community Sustainability Network, Ellis Gallery, LaHave River Watershed Committee, Lunenburg Photography Club, and Peer Gallery. Photographs will be on display March 15th 1-4 pm (Opening Ceremonies start at 2 pm), March 20th 1-4 pm, and March 21st from 1-4 pm as well as March 22nd (UN World Water Day) from Noon-3 pm. Admission is free but donations accepted to cover promotion costs and refreshments.
