Job Description:
The Guided and Self-Guided Tour Supervisor and Community Impact Coordinator is responsible for the organization, direction and evaluation of the companys guided and self guided tour operations as well as maintaining the efficiency, productivity and profitability that is aligned with the values of this exciting business on the Halifax Waterfront.
Identifying growth areas for I Heart Bikes Inc. and coordinating and undertaking community impact projects by working with key stakeholders will also form an integral part of this role.
Duties:
Conduct first round interviews and make recommendations to manager
Evaluate existing tour offerings and develop new tours as needed
Coordinate, train and evaluate tour guides
Tour planning, scheduling, promoting
Develop fleet mix based on tour offerings
Run the day-to-day operation of the store whilst meeting/exceeding sales targets and keeping to designated budget.
Prepare weekly sales reports and end of year report
Maintain social media presence
Maintain and clean bicycle fleet
Coordinate fleet sales
Research and propose possible merchandise ideas
Provide consistently stellar customer service and a positive tour experience every time
Build tour partnerships and develop marketing plan for guided and self-guided tours
Identify opportunities and develop proposals for community impact
Review promotional material
Identify and build new promotional partnerships to assist in growth goals
Skills Requirements
Completion of secondary school
University degree or college diploma in applicable field
Fluent in English both spoken and written
Bike maintenance experience
Previous experience as a bike tour guide
Secondary languages such as French, Spanish and German are considered an asset but not required
Previous experience in a supervisory role
Experience working with social enterprise is considered an asset
Must be a confident cyclist and able to ride on city streets for extended periods of time
Ability to supervise up to 10 people
