Position: Energy Systems Engineering Technology Learning Manager/Instructor
Organization: Holland College
Location: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

The Industrial Technology and Trades Department invites applications for a Learning Manager/Instructor for our Energy Systems Engineering Technology Program at the Centre for Applied Science and Technology, Charlottetown. This program focuses on renewable energy and energy efficiency in residential and commercial buildings. The successful applicant will be accountable for the developmental and instructional duties in the Energy Systems Engineering Technology program including:
• Provide delivery and training of knowledge and skills as it relates to established curriculum
• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety regulations
• Evaluate and monitor students’ progress and provide feedback to students
• Order and maintain resource materials
• Establish and consult with representatives of a Program Advisory Committee to ensure program meets industry standards
• Develop curriculum to meet industry standards
• Keep abreast of new technologies as they relate to the industry
• Perform other instructor related duties

• Graduate of mechanical engineering, an engineering technology program or relevant post-secondary education coupled with industry experience
• Recent/relevant experience in building science, HVAC systems, energy auditing and renewable energy systems
• Ability to develop laboratory demonstrations and teaching aids
• Project and budget management skills desired
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation and leadership skills
• Strong computer literacy skills
• Demonstrate ability to work independently yet be part of a team
• Prior teaching experience and/or Certificate in Adult Education will be considered an asset
