About the workshop:

Crafting a Communications Strategy to improve your non-profit story-telling...with a side-trip into ethical communications

A one-day workshop for non-profit groups' staff, board members and volunteers. We will focus on low-budget, big impact solutions.

This one-day workshop will cover:

  * Communications strategy as a key element of your organization's health
  * Organizational objectives and Communications objectives (they are different!)
  * Identifying stakeholders - their needs and their influence
  * Developing core messages & getting to the heart of your story
  * Determining key communications methods & tools (with a look at low-cost solutions)
  *   Ethical storytelling
  *   Social media plan

Participants will leave the workshop with knowledge of the fundamentals of creating a communications plan, plus practical ideas & tools for managing your organization's communications outreach.

This professional development opportunity will be interactive and enjoyable - participants will have the chance to discuss their organizations, and get ideas on communications solutions.
