"Woodlot management as if biodiversity mattered,” is another apt title for the "What are Forests For?" weekend workshop at the Harrison Lewis Centre July 28-30. Join three champions of intelligent forestry – author Jamie Simpson (Restoring the Acadian Forest), forest ecologist Donna Crossland, and forest carbon sequestration pioneer Dale Prest, for a weekend addressing the many ways forests benefit society – while absorbing practical knowledge for understanding and managing your own woodlot. $325 covers tuition, a bunk bed two nights, home-cooked meals, and an amazing opportunity to spend time with three excellent, engaging communicators. Register soon at www.HarrisonLewisCentre.org. The small class, limited to 15. A few seats left.
