Summer Programs Assistant / Assistant des programmes d'art et nature

As part of our community-based sustainable learning centre, this summer position will be working with our education staff to offer regular programs throughout the summer that help engage children, families and adults in outdoor and artistic / creative programs. This includes the following responsibilities and work opportunities:

1) Assist with the development and implementation of summer nature camps for rural children in the area;

2) Assist with regular gatherings for that enrich the social fabric of the area (i.e potlucks, summer reading clubs, crafting circles, gardening bees)

3) Give tours of the Art & Nature Centre and manage the resource library;

4) Develop a series of nature educational activities that include literacy, art, environmental education, craft & local history;

5) Assist with the care the Knowlesville Art & Nature Centre grounds, trails and gardens; 6) Assist with the production of our newsletters and updates to the website & social media sites.

Comme membre de notre centre d’éducation durable, ce position travaillera avec notre personnel éducatif pour offrir des programmes d’été qu'invitent les enfants, les familles et les adultes à participer dans activités dehors dans la nature et aussi à engager dans des défis artistiques et créatifs. Cela inclut les responsabilités et les opportunités de travail suivantes:

1) Aider au camps d’immersion dans la nature pour les enfants

2) Aider a la coordination des rassemblements sociales locaux (potlucks, club de lecture , cercles d'artisanat, la jardinage en commun)

3) Donner des visites du Centre

4) Développer une série d'activités éducatives sur la nature comprenant l'alphabétisation, l'art, l'éducation environnementale, l'artisanat et l'histoire locale;

5) Aider à l'entretien des terrains, des sentiers et des jardins du centre;

6) Participer à la production de nos bulletins d’information et mises à jour du site Web et des sites de médias sociaux.
