La Bikery Co-operative (http://www.labikery.ca) is a Moncton-based community bicycle centre that aims to foster a sustainable, bicycle-positive environment. We see Greater Moncton as a place where people feel empowered to bring cycling into their daily lives, by being comfortable riding and commuting, and having the skills to maintain and repair their own bicycles. Since its inception in 2011, La Bikery quickly grew into a fun, innovative and award-winning organization.

Purpose

The organization is currently seeking an Executive Director. It is a full-time, contract position. Under the supervision of a volunteer Board of Directors, the Executive Director will be expected to ensure the smooth operation of La Bikery’s programs and services, to fill the responsibilities generally mentioned below and report regularly to the Board of Directors. The selected candidate's values should resonate with the organization’s mission and vision.

Responsibilities Include:

The Executive Director will be responsible for the management and daily operations of La Bikery.

Responsibilities include:
• Secure financial viability of the organization with direction from the board of directors (includes, grant writing, revenue generating, sponsorships, membership growth, banking, budget management, etc.)
• Train and manage volunteers and a small staff (summer students and term positions).
• Manage shop by coordinating volunteers, doing inventory and ordering shop merchandise.
• Ensure general shop maintenance and presentation.
• Manage programs and services such as Recycle-a-Bike, rentals and bike lockers.
• Develop and/or support La Bikery's programs and projects.
• Coordinate events.
• Manage public and media relations through traditional and new media.
• Work with community partners.
• Engage the membership and volunteers.
• Report to the Board at monthly meetings and as required.

Experience/Qualifications:
• Entrepreneurial and self-motivated.
• Adaptive and innovative thinker.
• Outgoing, friendly, highly organized person with interpersonal communication, coordination, and supervisory skills.
• Previous work or volunteer experience in community-based organization
• Able to work collaboratively with Board of Directors and volunteer members
• Bilingualism is a definite asset
• Skilled in bicycle mechanics and general knowledge of bicycle parts and tools an asset.

Compensation:

Contract position with added bonus, compensation varies based on qualifications. Salary range is $35,000 to $40,000.

Depuis sa création en 2011, La Bikery s’est forgée une solide réputation à titre d’organisme convivial et innovant, ce qui lui a déjà valu de nombreuses reconnaissances.

La Bikery est à la recherche d’une personne pour occuper le poste de direction générale. Le poste contractuel est à temps plein. Sous la supervision d'un conseil d'administration, la direction générale devra veiller au bon fonctionnement des programmes et services de La Bikery, être responsable des tâches généralement énumérées ci-dessous et faire rapport régulièrement au conseil d’administration. Les valeurs du candidat ou de la candidate sélectionné.e devront correspondre à la mission et la vision de l’organisme.

Les responsabilités :

La direction générale sera responsable de la gestion quotidienne et le bon déroulement de La Bikery. Les responsabilités comprennent :
• Assurer la viabilité financière de l’organisme sous la direction du conseil d’administration (comprend les demandes de subvention, la génération de revenues, la gestion de budgets, le parrainage, l’augmentation du nombre de membres, etc.);
• Former les bénévoles et les employés (étudiants d’été et postes à durée déterminée);
• Gérer l’atelier et coordonner les bénévoles, faire l’inventaire et commander la marchandise pour l’atelier;
• Assurer la maintenance générale et l’organisation de l’atelier;
• Gérer le programme de recyclage de vélo, les services de location de vélo et de casiers de vélo;
• Développer et / ou soutenir les programmes et projets de La Bikery;
• Contribuer à l’organisation d’événements;
• Gérer les relations publiques et médiatiques à travers les médias traditionnels et nouveaux.
• Élaborer des processus internes pour une entreprise en développement;
• Travailler avec les partenaires communautaires;
• Susciter l’engagement des membres et des bénévoles;
• Présenter un rapport mensuel au Conseil d’administration;

Expériences / qualifications
• Habiletés d’entreprenariat et d’auto-motivation;
• Capacité d’adaptation et pensée innovatrice;
• Amical, social et très organisé, et qui possède de bonnes aptitudes en communication interpersonnelle, en coordination et en supervision;
• Une expérience de travail (rémunérée ou bénévole) au sein d’organismes communautaires;
• Une aptitude à travailler avec un conseil d’administration et des bénévoles;
• Bilingue, français et anglais (un atout définitif);
• Possédant une connaissance pratique de la mécanique du vélo (un atout).

Rémunération:

Poste contractuel accompagné de primes, salaire selon les qualifications. L’échelle salariale est de 35 000 $ à 40 000$.
