This workshop is a continuation from the basic viewpoints techniques
taught in earlier workshops. It is open to anyone who participated in
the first workshop held this July, last July, or if you have had
previous viewpoints training.

KJ Sanchez is a director and actor, living and working in New York City.
Her collaboratively created play, Panophobia, recently premiered at the
University of Washington's Playhouse Theater. KJ is a NEA/TCG, Drama
League and Fox Foundation fellow. For many years KJ was a member of Anne
Bogart's SITI Company, teaching Viewpoints and performing throughout the
US and internationally.

Viewpoints Training provides actors with a clear, practical way of
practicing listening skills and the art of being fully present and in
the moment. It also helps actors work spontaneously and intuitively and
develops a more articulate and responsive body. It's a wonderful tool
for directors, designers and playwrights as well. Viewpoints Training
provides artists with a vocabulary to understand and speak to the
physical event of theatre. Viewpoints training helps theatre artists
create dynamic, bold theatrical works in a very short period of time and
is a great foundation for true ensemble work.

2. MEISNER ACTING TECHNIQUE WORKSHOP - TORONTO
------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
WITH JOHN RIVEN

Sanford Meisner was co-founder of the Group Theatre who took
Stanislavsky's original theories and principles and introduced "Method"
acting to America. Meisner's own philosophy is based on the creation of
real and truthful behaviour under imaginary circumstances. An audience
will always choose to watch a 2 year old over most actors because of one
thing. Whatever the 2 year old is doing, they are really doing it and
really living in the moment. The work focuses on helping students get
out of their heads and back into trusting their gut instincts.

John Riven has been teaching ongoing classes in the Meisner Acting
Technique in Toronto for over three years. He is a graduate of the
Neighborhood Playhouse where he studied under Sanford Meisner and
Richard Pinter. He was a founding member of the Shadowfax Theatre
Company in NYC.

A new 6 week 10 class session will be held at Central Studios 680 Yonge
St. 2nd floor on Wednesdays 7-10 pm and Sundays 2-6pm from November 17th
to December 19th.

The cost is $265 for Equity/ACTRA members
or $330 for non-union members both includes GST
A $50 non-refundable deposit will be required to reserve a spot in the
class. Send a cheque or money order by November 12th
