SEEKING:

The Stratford Festival of Canada is seeking accomplished dancers with strong jazz/ballet/tap backgrounds .  Qualified persons from all ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to apply for an audition.  Equity, Equity apprentice, and non-Equity positions are available.

Audition Requirements:

Men: Please bring appropriate dancewear and footwear (sneakers are not a good idea, kneepads are a good idea as the choreography will be athletic).  There will be a combination for Guys and Dolls and also a tap combination for Anything Goes, so bring tap shoes. You may be called back to sing on Monday, Oct 20th at the Elgin Theatre. Prepare a song you are comfortable with... preferably from the period of either of these musicals (not essential).  Bring sheet music.  You may only be asked for 16 bars or a shortened version of your material. An accompanist will be provided. 

Women: Please bring appropriate dancewear and footwear.  (Heels are appropriate, however we may start with a ballet combination so be prepared for either).  There will be a combination for Guys and Dolls and also a tap combination for Anything Goes, so bring tap shoes. You may be called back to sing on Monday, Oct 20th at the Elgin Theatre.  Prepare a song you are comfortable with...preferably from the period of either of these musicals. (not essential)  Bring sheet music. Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
