E-DRIVE - JOB -  PRODUCTION/TOUR MANAGER - SASKATCHEWAN

Dancing Sky Theatre in Meacham, Saskatchewan is seeking to hire a
full-time production/tour manager from December 1, 2004 to September 30,
2005 (total 10 months). The salary for those ten months will be between
$20,000 and $23,000.

This exciting new position will involve:

Being present at the Dancing Sky Theatre Office during regular working
hours, to answer phones and liaise with all the members of the team.
Observing and assisting in the development and production of a brand new
theatre script by two of the province's best writers and one of the
province's most exciting professional theatre companies. 
Fundraising for the project
Reporting to granting organizations
booking and administrating a large rural summer tour of the production.
Going on the road and managing a summer rural tour around the province
of Saskatchewan.

Successful candidates must possess: 
Experience of not for profit, charitable, cultural organizations.
Knowledge of arts administration.
Experience in Microsoft Office applications, Simply Accounting and
bookkeeping skills.
Experience in dealing with the public.
Ability to complete multiple tasks and work under pressure.
The interest and desire to work as part of a small dedicated team.
Demonstrative ability to work in collaboration with a technical
production team and scheduling and contracting artists. 
Ability to work on their own and be self-motivated
Knowledge of Canadian Actors' Equity Assoc, Saskatchewan Arts Board and
Professional Association of Canadian Theatres is an asset.
A valid drivers licence.
