Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:
Humber River Shakespeare is a strong proponent of both cross-gender and
cross-cultural casting.
Additional information:
The Humber River Shakespeare Company is currently accepting submissions
for the role of SIR JOHN FALSTAFF in The Merry Wives of Windsor. This
will be the company's 8th annual touring summer production.
This outdoor, touring show will be performing in various parks along the
Humber River and beyond. Venues include: Etobicoke, Toronto, King,
Schomberg, Alton, Collingwood, Kleinburg, Bolton, Aurora, Georgina,
Mississauga, and Newmarket.
The production will be directed Kevin Hammond.
Rehearsal Start: June 15, 2015
Production Dates: July 7 - August 2, 2015 Auditions will be held in
early March.
Breakdown - Sir John Falstaff:
Age: 40+
A farcical old knight, Sir John tries to "woo" Mistress Page and
Mistress Ford. He is unsuccessful and becomes, instead, the butt of
their jokes.
Big personality. Lots of heart and vitality.
