[CANUFNET] tree plaques

With respect to memorial tree plantings, the City of Thunder Bay has had
many requests over the years to install plaques at the base of trees (for
example in remembrance of loved ones or for an organizational cause).  Due
to installation and maintenance costs, and the need to develop plaque
standards, we've had to turn down requests for plaque installations in the
past.

Does your municipality have a policy regarding plaque installation?  If so,
what do you allow? What type of materials do you use to keep costs and
maintenance low?   Any insights regarding this issue would be appreciated.
